Energy Academy tennis competition section seeks to prepare young players for the French Federation of Tennis tournaments. Of course the benefits of such competitions for children go without saying.
Unlike other clubs, the Energy Academy tennis competition team teaches and demands rigour and discipline and at the same time keeps its doors open to all children who wish to try competitive play and discover the joy of tournaments.
The whole essence of Energy Academy is to draw up a definite link between the pleasure of playing tennis (a key focus of the club), right from an early age and the motivation to win – the latter being a goal and a personal challenge to gain a FFT classification by competing against other children.
The training groups are homogenous and centred on the preparation for the official FFT tennis tournaments.
These groups follow a precise programme that is worked out at the beginning of the year, taking into account the age and standard of the child. The programme is made up of part physical warm-up and part specific tennis instruction (from technical improvement to tactical application). A detailed report of each child’s progress is made out every term and sent to the parents.
As well as the training that takes place in Paris during the school term, tennis competition day camp are held in Paris or in the provinces. During the school holidays, an Energy Academy instructor accompanies children to the official tournaments to help, analyse their methods, follow up their progress and determine the capacity of their potential in order to coach the child efficiently.
Today, the tennis competition section comprises of about 30 children between the ages of 9 and 16 and from novices to 15 trained in Paris from mondays to saturdays in groups or in private lessons, by our committed, skilled and qualified teachers. |
