The linguistic aim of the summer camp is to enable children from all nationalities to:
- learn French, there are 2 hour lessons everyday in small groups with a qualified teacher
- meet French children and speak French with them whilst enjoying many sports and fun activities
- travel to France to be completely immersed in the French language
It is estimated that French is considered among the 10 most spoken languages in the world. It is spoken in France, from which it originates, as well as in Belgium, Canada, Switzerland and in 51 other countries in the world.
The French language is one of the only two international languages to be currently taught in all 5 continents. Without doubt, French is taught in many Universities throughout the world and recognized in the world of diplomacy, journalism, legislation, and education.
French is the second foreign language the most taught in schools within the European Union. On the whole, French remains the most taught language in the world after English.
French continues to be one of the official languages of many international organizations such as the United Nations, the World Business Organization, NATO, the European Union, the European Space Agency, the International Court of Justice, the International Court of Penal Law, the International Olympic Committee, the International Football Association (FIFA), Interpol … French remains an important language of international diplomacy alongside English.
